The ABC 7 I-Team has picked up this year’s Emmy Award for Investigative Reporting from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Northern California Chapter. “Doc 420” exposed a former Los Angeles model/turned medical marijuana doctor with clinics up and down the state. We showed how she offered to prescribe marijuana for patients who provided little to no evidence of serious illness. You can read or watch the investigation here and check out the blog here. Thanks to Ken Miguel, Producer; Cathy Cavey, Photographer; and Lynn R Friedman, Editor.

You are welcome. The reason I gave you the award was because of the quality and thoroughness of your reports.
Regards, Michael Emmy
P.s. I have not received your payment in my PayPal account. If I don't get it, please return the award.

RE: MUNI
DATE of INCIDENT: 2 July 08, 1.30 PM
BUS: 47, towards downtown, near Trader Joe's/9th Street
RUN: 627
DESCRIPTION OF DRIVER: blonde, about 50 (or between 40 and 50)years old, sunglasses, cleanshaven
An off-duty black female bus driver boarded the bus, and without any provocation, an old white racist just started spouting off how much she hates "niggers". This nonsense went on for a while without any intervention from the driver driving the bus.
A passsenger had to tell the old woman to either be quiet or he will ask the driver to take her off the bus or call the police.
The bus was not crowded, you can hear every word this crazy woman said.
So, there's no excuse for both drivers (on-duty and off)to let that behaviour go unnotised.
I, like many who live in this city, do not trust that city employees are reprimanded for either bad behaviour or for allowing bad behaviour to go on when it's their responsibility to stop it.
So, I wrote to the I-Team blog as well as MUNI management, etc.
Thanks for your time
David
